Visual Studio 2010 Trick #1 - Horizontal Tab Group

Have you ever worked on a Visual Studio project containing hunderds and hunders of source code files? If so, chances are that some of these files need to be edited much more frequently than the others. Maybe you thought - if only I can access this file instantly..and yes, you can do it!

For example, you work on an ASP.NET website, and you constantly need to edit your global Style.css file.

Using Solution Explorer to find your Style.css file becomes a nightmare pretty soon.

Fortunately, there is a nice, quick solution.

You can split your Editor window horizontally! This way, your Style.css file will be always visible and you won't spend any time searching for it.

Best of all, it's super easy.
#1 Just open your file in source editor (using Solution Explorer)
#2 Right click Style.css tab above the editor window
#3 Choose "New Horizontal Tab Group"

And that's it! Now your Style.css file is always there when you need it! If you want, you can add some more files.
